CONTACT USIn collaboration with Phia, we produced a 360-degree virtual tour of her open studio and gallery in Bangor. The primary objective of the project was to create a dynamic digital asset that would virtually immerse online visitors in her unique creative environment. The tour was intended to showcase the layout of the space, the diversity of her work, and the atmosphere of the studio, serving as a key tool for attracting new clients, workshop participants, and national interest.
The scope of the project mandated the capture of several high-resolution panoramic scenes from strategic viewpoints that would highlight the different facets of her operation: the gallery display area, the workshop space, and the design studio itself. The brief specified the use of the Ricoh Theta Z1 camera to produce high-dynamic-range (HDR) images, which was critical for accurately capturing the textures of the recycled materials and the quality of natural light within the studio. The final deliverable was designed for integration into her website and social media platforms to broaden her digital footprint.

This project involved the production of a 360 virtual tour of Phia's open studio and gallery. The virtual tour is comprised of multiple 360-degree photos, captured as high-resolution HDR images with our Ricoh Theta Z1 360 camera. This camera was selected for its superior image quality and dynamic range, which were essential for capturing the intricate textures of the sustainable materials and the ambient light of the creative space.
The post-production workflow began in Adobe Lightroom, where the raw DNG files from the camera were processed for initial colour grading, exposure blending, and lens correction to ensure a true-to-life representation of the studio's atmosphere. Subsequently, the stitched panoramas were imported into Adobe Photoshop for detailed digital refinement. This stage involved meticulous nadir patching to remove the equipment's footprint and the careful removal of any minor environmental imperfections, producing a clean, seamless, and professional final composite for the virtual tour.
